Our history

Thirty years ago, way back in 1987, Miguel Arias was invited to transform the Bar del Puerto, located in the then recently inaugurated Puerto Portals.

There was an important gap in the port’s commercial offerings for people who came to visit with their boats, and he was able to see it. Arriving in Portals, people wanted to have breakfast, a good coffee and read the press quietly on dry land. That is why Flanigan started offering breakfast, a tradition that he maintains and which means that he continues to be open every day and at all hours, so that customers can find the service they are looking for at any time.

For us, the key is for visitors to enjoy a pleasant time while tasting the finest food. Good ideas, respect for the dishes and ingredients, courtesy and a careful balance between tradition and avant-garde. Thanks to this philosophy, Flanigan continues to be what has distinguished since 1987: a restaurant that is close to its customers, that strives for excellence in all its aspects and an ideal place to enjoy the idyllic atmosphere of Puerto Portals.
